Drymen Medical Practice is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff. The Practice remains open for all essential primary care problems but on the advice of Health Protection Scotland we have put in place a process whereby everyone is screened by telephone prior to being seen. All patients will still have access to the care they require.
Opening Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am-6pm, Wednesday, 8am-1pm.

Lomond Mountain Rescue Team

Lomond is one of the busiest Mountain Rescue Teams in Scotland. Assisting walkers and climbers for fifty years since its foundation in 1967. Covering an area of over 1000 square miles in one of the most popular mountain areas of Scotland. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park sees two million visitors a year, 60,000 walkers annually attempt the West Highland Way and Ben Lomond itself has over 30,000 walkers and climbers. As a charity Lomond MRT depends entirely on fundraising to maintain its first-class service.

Trossachs Search & Rescue

Trossachs Search and Rescue was formed in 1998 and is a community-based charity whose primary area of operation covers the geographical rural expanse from Loch Lomond to Dunblane, Strathblane to Strathyre. However, they do support the emergency services and communities across Scotland with practical assistance or advice when asked.
On behalf of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service they provide Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) dogs that attend building collapses to search for people concealed under rubble or other debris.

Balfron High School

Balfron High School is a fully comprehensive, non-denominational six-year school. Situated at the foot of the Campsie Fells, with glorious views towards the mountains of Perthshire, the school serves the largely rural district of West Stirlingshire.
The catchment area stretches from the River Forth near Aberfoyle in the North, to the Milngavie border of Strathclyde in the South and from Kippen in the East to the shores of Loch Lomond in the West. Although it lies in a rural setting, the school is only 19 miles from both Stirling and Glasgow and the parents of many pupils are employed in these centres.

Drymen sits within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Their mission is to protect and enhance Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The National Park covers an area of outstanding area of outstanding landscapes, habitats and habitats and communities – and their aim is to protect it and reduce the impact of visitors and recreational pressures. National Park Authority also has legal status as a statutory body with statutory duties for planning and outdoor access.
