Drymen in Bloom
30 years ago, Marina Brennan attended a Community Council meeting and asked for £30 to buy 2 barrels, then planted them with flowers and placed them in Drymen Square. Drymen in Bloom was formed with members of Drymen and East Loch Lomond Tourist association - one being Frances Lander. They are funded now by Drymen Community Council, Drymen Community Trust, residents, local businesses, and visitor donations. Drymen in Bloom could not carry out the work they do without their reliable group of volunteers. As Drymen is the gateway to East Loch Lomond and on the West Highland Way, their aim is to make Drymen attractive with floral displays for the benefit of residents and visitors.
When and where are the meetings:
There is no set time for meeting. Volunteers’ plant in various sites across the village in their own time.
