Golf Clubs
Drymen is blessed to have two quality golf courses within walking distance of the village, Buchanan Castle and Strathendrick. Both clubs offer great golfing challenges and welcome new members and visitors.
Buchanan Castle Golf Club
Buchanan Castle is a beautiful 18-hole parkland course, located by the River Endrick, nestling in the foothills of the surrounding Campsie hills and the shores of Loch Lomond. It offers golfers a fair but challenging round of golf in a unique setting. Buchanan Castle Golf Club is a special tranquil place and is one of Scotland’s hidden golfing splendours.
The club offers fantastic golf coaching facilities for members with a driving range (also available to non-members), a short game area, a 5-hole academy course and a grass practice area.
You can also wine and dine in a relaxed atmosphere in the stylish clubhouse at Buchanan Castle. There’s also outdoor seating offering a wonderful setting to watch golfers tee off while enjoying breakfast or a spot of lunch. Serving food all day and now open to non-members, it is well worth a visit.
Buchanan Castle Golf Club also offers excellent facilities for visiting parties. For enquiries about membership or visiting parties contact the club by email or call 01360 660330.
Strathendrick Golf Club
Located on the outskirts of Drymen, Strathendrick Golf Club is also easily accessible from Glasgow or Stirling. The course is situated on the banks of the River Endrick and offers breath-taking views of Ben Lomond and the picturesque Campsie Hills. This excellent 9-hole undulating parkland course receives lots of compliments on its upkeep, appearance, and presentation. The condition of the greens and fairways are second to none.
The finishing 3 holes in particular – all Par 3’s – are really challenging in very different ways. Such is the varying layout and length of each hole that you may have to utilise every club in your bag during your round.
Strathendrick Golf Club offers good value for money golf and a very friendly membership who will ensure you enjoy your golf experience. The club has a quaint 100-year-old clubhouse which adds to the appeal of the course.
Membership fees for adults and juniors are competitive and can be paid in instalments. Groups are also welcome and can book online. The best way to get in touch with the club is by email.
