Drymen Square Repairs
Having received significant funding support that you can read about at the Discover Drymen page, Drymen Community Development Trust completed phase 1 of the Square repairs, with renewal of the parking bays and pavement area around the butcher, library and Ptarmigan Bar. The next phase will be the renewal of the pathways and road around the Square. This will be challenging as the cost is estimated at £85,000. You can read more about it here.
As you can see from the first photo the condition of the parking spaces (before the work started) were very poor. The second photo shows work in progress to resurface this part of Drymen Square.
Local charity Stirling Community Enterprise (SCE) were awarded the contract to carry out repair works by DCDT. SCE are committed to supporting the people facing barriers to employment to progress in life. They achieve this through person centred training, work experience and supported employment.

If you are out of work, in need of support to access training or keen to start a career in construction checkout their website stirlingcommunityenterprise.co.uk or say hello to a member of the team when they are on site.
Phase one of the Square repairs is now complete, DCDT has now launched an appeal to raise funds to carry out repairs and resurfacing of all the remaining paths and roads around the Square. If you would like to donate, or help us raise funds for the remaining areas you can do so through the Square Appeal page.
